Our technicians arrive with electronic listening devices, pressure testing gear, and dye testing kits. Most leaks are located in under 2 hours without breaking a single tile of deck.

We email you a clear report within about 24 hours: where the leak is, what caused it, what the fix looks like, what it costs, and how long it takes. No surprises.
What we detect
Plus underground plumbing, structural shell cracks, and equipment pad leaks. If water is leaving your pool, we'll find where.
Inside the detection
Sensitive microphones pick up the sound of water escaping underground or behind the shell. We isolate the exact spot by sound before any digging happens.
We pressurize each plumbing line with air and watch for pressure drops. A leaking line shows up within minutes — no guesswork.
We isolate a line with plugs, fill a standpipe, and watch the water level. If it drops, the line is losing. Combined with dye, we see even the smallest movement.
Around the skimmer, return jets, lights, and any suspected crack, we release a colored dye that traces the water flow. Visual confirmation in seconds.
Every day a leak goes unfound, it costs you water, chemicals, and risk of structural damage. Early professional detection can help prevent continued water loss and more expensive repairs down the line.
If we find a leak, we can usually fix it
Detection and repair in the same visit when possible. Larger jobs get a written estimate the same day.
When a skimmer is cracked at the base or has been in service for 20+ years, replacement is more reliable than patching. We remove the old unit, set the new one, seal it properly, and test the line.
Light niches crack over time from ground movement behind the pool. We drain the pool, cut out the damaged niche, install a new one, and reseal — no more leak around the light.
We locate the broken section with sound equipment, cut through the deck to expose it, replumb the damaged pipe, restore the concrete, and pressure-test the line to confirm the fix.
Variable-speed pumps, filters, heat pumps, automation systems, salt cells. We install trusted brands with proper plumbing and electrical, all tested before we leave.
When leaks are spread across the shell — at the skimmer, returns, and main drain — a full resurfacing is more cost-effective than patching each spot individually.
Best done during a resurfacing or renovation. We replace individual tiles or regrout the entire waterline for a clean, leak-free finish.
Top-tier American-made heat pumps with strong warranties. We size the unit to your pool, handle the electrical, and walk you through the controls.
Trusted brands, proper venting, and code-compliant gas lines. We install systems that heat efficiently and last.
White, multicolor, and color-changing LEDs. We install, retrofit, and replace fixtures, transformers, and niche seals.
A last-resort surface treatment for calcium or copper staining. We'll tell you honestly whether your pool is a good candidate before we start.
Common questions
Pool leak detection starts at $375 in Orlando. The exact price depends on pool size, the complexity of the plumbing layout, and whether the leak is in the structure, the underground plumbing, or the equipment. We credit the detection fee toward the repair when you hire us for the fix. We typically schedule within 24 to 72 hours, with same-day availability in some cases.
Our technicians use four methods, often in sequence: (1) electronic listening devices to hear water escaping underground or behind the shell, (2) pressure testing to isolate which plumbing line is losing pressure, (3) static water testing — we isolate a line with plugs, fill a standpipe, and watch the water level; combined with dye, we can detect even the smallest movement, and (4) dye testing around specific fittings, drains, or suspected cracks. Most pools are diagnosed in 1–2 hours.
No. We don't need to break anything to detect a leak. If the leak is inside the concrete (underground plumbing), we use sonar technology to detect the reference point of where the leak is. That gives us a precise location so the only digging needed is for the actual repair, and we restore the concrete afterward.
Detection: 1–3 hours depending on the pool. If you approve the repair the same day, we can often do it in one additional visit. Underground pipe repairs typically take one day including concrete restoration.
It depends on what we did. If we find a small issue we can fix with epoxy during the leak detection visit, that repair is included in the service and comes with a 30-day warranty. If we do a separate, larger repair job, that work comes with a 1-year warranty. Either way, you have written coverage and we come back at no charge if the same leak returns within the warranty period.
About 1/4 inch per day, or roughly 1 inch every 4 days. If your pool is losing more than that — especially when the pump is off and no one's been in the pool — you likely have a leak and a bucket test can confirm it.
In most cases, no. Draining is rarely necessary. The main exception is when a fitting (such as a light niche) is damaged and needs to be inspected directly — and even then, only the affected area is drained, not the whole pool. For fiberglass pools, draining is almost never needed.
Pool leaks almost always get worse over time. Depending on where the leak is, it can erode soil around the pool and create a hollow area that eventually compromises the structure. A small leak today can become a deck collapse or a shell crack tomorrow. The faster it's found and fixed, the smaller the repair bill.
